We know that our staff and students are busy people with many deadlines and dates to remember. So, to make life a little easier, we’ve introduced automatic renewals for library loans.
You can still renew items yourself at the self-service kiosks in the Library or by logging in to ‘My Library Account’ but if you forget, then as long as your account is in good standing, we’ll do it for you and send you an email alert to let you know when things are due back.
We won’t be able to renew any items for you if they have been requested by another library user so you’ll still receive a recall notice or a courtesy reminder to let you know if anything needs to be returned. Fines will still be charged for the late return of any item that has been recalled.
Remember to reserve any items you need if they are all out on loan to stop them from being automatically renewed. Just click on the ‘Place Hold’ icon in the library catalogue entry and we’ll email you to let you know when they have been returned and are ready for pickup.
