The problems we had yesterday with the Library Catalogue have now been fixed. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Access to resources such as eBooks, databases etc. as reported in this post has now been restored but we are still experiencing issues with the library catalogue not loading information fully.
Again apologies for the problems this is causing and we will update as we know more.
We are currently experiencing problems with the library catalogue not loading information fully and with the log in system for access to resources such as eBooks, journals and databases. These are being investigated with all parties involved.
We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and will update as soon as we know more.
An upgrade is taking place on the library catalogue today. As a result of this, there will be limited functionality between 15:00 – 16:00 BST. The following features will be unavailable during this time: My Account, My Lists, placing holds and checking availability of books.
The BookMyne mobile app will also be unavailable during this time.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. If there are any queries please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
At the end of January the library launched its new library catalogue.
This new search engine lets you search our collection of books and eBooks and many of our electronic journals simultaneously – giving you all the results in the same place.
The search is really quick and easy to use but if you would like to find out more take a look at our guide to using the new library catalogue:
This guide shows you how to find the new catalogue, search for books on a topic, look for things on your reading lists, track down eBooks, get journal articles, place holds on books and renew them.
So to get you started take a look at this video about finding books on a topic to get you started and then check out the full guide for more useful information.
