New guides for Construction Information Service and OnePetro

The library is pleased to announce new guides to the Construction Information Service and OnePetro databases.

Construction Information Service access problems resolved

We are pleased to report that the access problems for the Construction Information Service database have now been resolved and it can be accessed as normal.

We apologise for the incovenience this caused and if you have any problems accessing our online resources please let us know at library@rgu.ac.uk.

Updated version of Construction Information Service

Earlier this year Construction Information Service announced they were upgrading the database and gave everyone a chance to test out the new version of the database while still being able to access the legacy version.

After some months of testing and running both versions of the database at the same time there has now been the announcement that the legacy version will be discontinued in January 2016.

We have put together a quick guide to the new version of Construction Information Service which you can access here:

And the database can be accessed as always:

  1. Go to the databases by subject list: http://libguides.rgu.ac.uk/subject
  2. Choose the architecture, construction or surveying list
  3. Locate Construction Information Service and follow the link
  4. Log in when prompted
  5. You will now be at the initial screen, choose the current version rather than the legacy option to use the upgraded database.

Beta version of Construction Information Service available for feedback

The database Construction Information Service is undergoing an upgrade and the company are asking users to take a look at the beta version of their redesigned database and provide them with feedback.

If you would like to take a look at the new version of this database then you can access it by logging in to the database as normal but then choosing the beta version rather than the current one.

  1. Go to the databases by subject list: http://libguides.rgu.ac.uk/subject
  2. Choose the architecture, construction or surveying list
  3. Locate Construction Information Service and follow the link
  4. Log in when prompted
  5. You will now be at the initial screen, choose either the current version or the beta verson from here
