“Will be an amazing help for upcoming research”!

…  just one of the comments made by attendees at our library SearchSMART workshops this semester.

Do you need to improve your search skills to find journal articles for your coursework?

Why not come along to one of our KnowHow to SearchSMART sessions.  There are different sessions for different subject areas. Simply have a look at our calendar of workshops and sign up at a time that suits you.

Need help in a hurry?  Why not come along to a drop in – no booking required! Details of dates and times are also listed on the calendar.

Workshops and drop ins are held in lab ABS321 at the rear of the Learning Centre in the Business School.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Need to improve your library skills?

We offer workshops on Harvard referencing, KnowHow to SearchSmart sessions in a variety of subject areas (showing you how to search databases to find journal articles on subjects you are studying), KnowHOW to LibrarySearch (an introduction to our new catalogue now called LibrarySearch) and RefWorks (a package to help you organise your references and create reference lists).

Interested?  Simply click on the name of a session on the timetable and fill in your details to reserve a place.  We offer sessions at different times and dates throughout semester.

Just have a quick question?  Why not come along to one of our Drop in sessions and we will be happy to help.  Details are also available in the timetable.

All workshops and Drop ins take place in lab321 in the Georgina Scott Sutherland Learning Centre in the Business School unless otherwise stated.  We look forward to seeing you there!

“Seriously useful”

… just one of the comments from students who attended one of our classes on search skills, Harvard referencing or RefWorks or a drop in session this semester.

Our classes finish tomorrow, but we will still be offering drop in sessions in the coming months.

So if you are on campus, need help with referencing, can’t find journal articles on a topic or just want to know more about searching any of our databases, please come along to a drop in session … we hope you will also find it “seriously useful”.

Not on campus?  Our guides may help you get started but please feel free to email or telephone us with any questions.

We look forward to helping you.

Seasonal (feli)citations

treeThis semester almost 300 students attended our Harvard Referencing classes. They found them “informative”, “clear” and “easy to understand”.

Struggling with referencing?  Why not make it your New Year resolution to come along to one of our drop-ins or sign up for a referencing class after the exams.  Details of our drop-ins and classes are available on our calendar.
