There is now a new procedure for you to access the content on the Architect’s Journal and Nursing Times websites.
The first time that you access the sites you will be asked to register and pick your own username and password. After that you will follow the link and sign in using the username and password you chose.

- Enter the name of the journal in the “Find a Journal” search box and search
- From the list of reuslts locate the journal and click the “S” icon
- You will then be given a link and authentication instructions, click Go to be taken to the journal website
- If this is the first time you have accessed the website, register using your RGU email address and make sure to pick a username and password you will remember
- If you have already registered find the sign in link in the top right, click it and sign in
A couple of weeks ago we reported that we were experiencing access problems to the journal websites of the Nursing Times and the AJ.
Work is still going on to ensure that all RGU students and staff can get full access to these resources and we will let you know once the issues have been fully resolved.
However while this work is going on we have been given a temporary username and password to access the webites and gain full access to the material within. If you are interested in getting the username and password please contact the library at email@example.com.
Finally to see other ways to access these resources for example print copies of the journals you can take a look at the catalogue records. Simply follow these links and go to the full record section for more details: Nursing Times and Architects Journal.
We are sorry to report that we are currently experiencing access problems for the two journal websites:
- Nursing Times
- Architect’s Journal
We have reported the problems to the company and are working with them to get access restored as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvience this will cause and will let you know as soon as we find out more information.

The library is pleased to announce that we now have access to the AJ Buildings Library and the Architect’s Journals website. The AJ website gives access to articles and items from the journal and the AJ Buildings Library database showcases more than 1,900 exemplar projects, most from the last 20 years but including major projects back to 1900.
To access both of these you will need to contact the library for a username and password. Simply email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (01224 263450) and ask for the username and password for the AJ or the AJ Buildings Library.
Once you have the username and password you can access the resources from the database list for the AJ Buildings Library and the journals list/library catalogue for the AJ. Alternatively you can use these links:
