Programme of library classes for semester 1

The library is pleased to announce that our comprehensive programme of library classes for semester 1 14/15 is publicly available and can be seen at this webpage:

The home page gives details of the various classes that will be running this semester including: Library research skills, How to use RefWorks and Harvard Referencing classes and lectures.

The timetable and bookings page shows the dates and times of the classes on offer, these started on the 15th September and will carry on to 19th December:

And you can book a place by simply clicking the class you would like to attend and entering a few details.

As well as following the link above you can always access this information by following the link on the library’s CampusMoodle home page or at the bottom of most of the library web pages.

Access to the ASME Digital Collection restored

We are pleased to announce that the access problems to the ASME Digital Collection have now been fixed and you should get access as normal.

Introducing the new Harvard Referencing guide!

The library is pleased to announce that we have launched a new version of our Harvard Referencing guide. It gives you a full guide to Harvard Referencing including:

  • information about the principles and practices of referencing in the Harvard Style covering why, when and how to reference
  • templates showing you examples of references that you can follow and adapt for your own referencing.

Library classes this week!

This week the following programme of library classes will be running. If you would like to attend a session follow the links to go to the booking form and sign up. Each class will last for one hour and take place in 337 in the Georgina Scott Sutherland Learning Centre.
