Berg fashion library now available

RGU library is pleased to announce that the database Berg Fashion Library is now available!

The Berg Fashion Library contains integrated text and image content on world dress and fashion throughout history including material from the Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion and is an invaluable resource for anyone researching fashion and related topics.

To access Berg Fashion Library you can find a link in the subject guide for fashion and textile design and on the A-Z list of databases on the library web site.

But if you would like a look now simply follow this link, enter you RGU username and password when prompted, and then search and explore.

900th item in OpenAIR has a Scottish election campaign theme

By strange co-incidence the 900th item added to the RGU Open Access Institutional Repository (OpenAIR) is Graeme Baxter & Rita Marcella’s article entitled “Do online election campaigns sway the vote? A study of the 2011 Scottish parliamentary election”.

Library classes next week

The new programme of library classes begins again on Monday 15th September. The classes for the next week are listed below, with links to the booking forms, and they will all last for one hour and take place in 337 in the Georgina Scott Sutherland Learning Centre.

New biomedical and life sciences resources

We are pleased to announce that a number of new online audio-visual seminar style talks, each especially commissioned from leading world experts, have been added to the Biomedical and Life Sciences Collection of our Henry Stewart Talks database.

Talks added in recent months cover a range of topics including gene therapy and molecular genetics.

The Henry Stewart Talks database can be accessed from our subject list of databases (under Pharmacy, forensic and life sciences)  or the A-Z list on the library website.
