Changes to open access requirements for REFable published research outputs; researchers please note!

The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) have adjusted their open access requirements for published outputs intended for submission in the next REF exercise. For journal articles and conference papers accepted for publication post 1 April 2016,  HEFCE originally asked that these be made open access within 3 months of being accepted by the publisher. Now HEFCE is requesting that the same items be made open access 3 months after publication. Further details can be found here http://www.hefce.ac.uk/pubs/Year/2014/201407/

Maybe you are submitting to the next REF and don’t understand open access and it’s impact on you? The Library’s next Researcher workshop Open Access – REF, research funders and more on Wednesday 29th July 2015 10-11am, will help.
